d’strict will release its digital art performance FLOW across CGV’s premium technology auditorium, SCREENX, beginning February 26, 2025.
FLOW was first unveiled in 2024 at Outernet London in the UK and at the Seoul exhibition reSOUND. This work reinterprets the evolution of Western art history—from the Middle Ages to the post-Impressionist era—through symbolic choreography rendered as immersive digital media art. Most recently, FLOW was recognized for its artistic excellence with the 2024 A.N.D. Award, where it received the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award, the highest honor at Korea’s leading digital media awards. The SCREENX release will present an expanded 15-minute edition featuring new material not included in the original version.
The SCREENX presentation of FLOW delivers a heightened sense of immersion through panoramic screens extending to the left, right, and front. In particular, CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall’s newly opened SCREENX auditorium—known as “YongsX”—features four-sided screens extending up to the ceiling, paired with Dolby Atmos sound and anamorphic production, offering an overwhelming and enveloping visual-auditory experience.
Beginning on the 26th, FLOW will be available at 12 CGV SCREENX locations nationwide, including Gangneung, Daejeon Terminal, Dongtan Station, Seomyeon, Shinchon Artreon, Wangsimni, Yeongdeungpo, Yongsan I’Park Mall, Ulsan Samsan, Ilsan, Cheonan Pentaport, and Pangyo. d’strict and CGV plan to host a variety of special events throughout the screening period. Further details on screenings and related programs will be announced through the official channels of d’strict and CGV.
“We are thrilled to present FLOW to an even wider audience through CGV SCREENX,” said Sean Lee, CEO of d’strict. “We remain committed to pioneering new artistic and technological possibilities that invite viewers to engage actively within immersive media art.”
